You Are The Treasure
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. (2 Corinthians 4:7) KJV
If you only look at us in the flesh, you might miss the miracle—the bright treasure that we hold and carry around in clay (vessels) chests. It is the way to prevent anyone from confusing the container with the content.
We have this treasure which is God’s power in us. It makes us indestructible, undefeatable, and unstoppable.
We have often said, “when you discover your purpose, you discover your power.” Yet we know that it is hardly possible to know what you are called to do if you do not know who you are.
Once you know the why and the who, then the what follows obediently.
If you see yourself as the vessel or the clay chest only, then you are always subject to the fate of the fragile, broke, busted, and disgusted.
You are subject to the delicate nature of your
existence. On the other hand, if you see yourself as God sees us and communicates with us as spiritual treasure, then we become bigger and better than the container.
We become the treasure in the chest defined by the content and not the container.
I am not just a vessel, container, or a chest. I am a treasure in a chest. I am a walking, talking treasure. I am a speaking spirit in a clay jar and you can't touch this. I am the treaure. You are the treasure...now run, tell that.
